How to Join the RMA Blood Drive
Please note, signing up on Meetup for the Blood Drive does not reserve you a time at the donor clinic. You will need to sign up using the Blood Drive app or website.

You can download the Canadian Blood Services app (called Give Blood) from either the Apple or Google Store.

Once installed, run the app and either log in or create your account as required.
Next, you will need to find Rocky Mountain Atheists under the Partners section. Click on the Hamburger menu at the top left (beside the Good morning/afternoon/evening). From there, click on Partners, and search for Rocky Mountain Atheist. Once you join the RMA partner, you will see the next event for our group. Click “View” on that event and you will see a list of available times. Click on the time of your choice to book your slot. Click confirm and follow the prompts and you are ready to go!
Using the Website: blood.ca
If you find it easier to use a website, you can visit https://blood.ca and book your appointment through the website.
After you login (or create an account if needed), click on the Partners link on the left.
Once again, search for Rocky Mountain Atheists and join the team.
Once you’ve joined the team, click “View” beside the team name. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “View” next to the Team appointments.
Just like when using the app, you can select the time that best works for you.

Free Parking
You can receive 2 hours of free parking at the Calgary Tower. You can park anywhere in the tower, although there are some designated parking spots on the West Side on the 6th floor. However, you can park anywhere your like, the process for free parking is the same.
When you arrive at the tower, take a ticket to get into the parkade as you normally would. Park your car and head to the clinic (West side parking is closest to the donor centre). When you get to the donor centre ask the person at the desk for the parking pass. They will give you a second ticket (you need both tickets – your original you received at the parkade entrance and the new one you received at the clinic). They will also provide instructions for you (Posted here as well).
Complete the following steps when exiting the Calgary Tower parkade:
Step 1 insert the ticket(s) that you received at the donor centre
Step 2 insert the ticket you received on entry to the parkade
*If you have spent any additional time downtown after your appointment ends,
Step 3 insert payment for the additional time spent downtown after completing steps 1 & 2
You can stay at the parkade longer than 2 hours, you will pay for parking for anything beyond 2 hours.
